Udawalawe National Park lies on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces, in Sri Lanka. The national park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the catchment of the reservoir.

Surfing is a surface water sport in which the wave rider, referred to as a surfer, rides on the forward or deep face of a moving wave, which usually carries the surfer towards the shore.
Enjoy a local guided 14km or 30km bike tour and discover cinnamon plantation and factory, local lake, Buddhist temple, black paper plantation, local fauna and flora and much more.
Like many people, I’ve always thought surfing looked cool, and hoped one day I could give it a try.
After discovering Sri Lanka is an excellent place to learn how to surf, we decided to spend some time in Weligama where the surfing was supposed to be good for beginners.
